AB Spirit Spammer build - need tips
I am looking to make an AB Spirit Spammer (as you can tell ). Here is what I came up with.
Attributes:
Spawning Power - 12+1+2
Channeling Magic - 10+1
Communing - 8+1
Skills:
[skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Channeled Strike[/skill][skill]Attuned Was Songkai[/skill][skill]Empowerment[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][skill]Pain[/skill][skill]Destruction[/skill][skill]Draw Spirit[/skill]
Equipment:
-Rune of Superior Vigor
-Rune of Attunement (the two peices that are left)
-Radiant Insignias (chest and legs)
-Survivor Insignias (head, hands, feet)
Notes:
I will use the first two skills if I ever run into a combat situation. I will possibly solo the posts when trying to cap them. Not sure - all depends on if anyone is around.

Spirits are very slow and highly immobile. AB is based around quick kills and mobility. Thus, they're really not the best idea. I would take one spirit at most in AB, any more and you're crippling yourself.

only reason for spirits in ab would be to guard a shrine or something.

Spirit spamming isn't very practical for AB. By the time you lay your spirits down the shrine will have already been capped. With the long cast times, you're leaving yourself wide open for attacks, and your spirits may not even be recharged by the time you get to the next shrine.
Whenever I take a rit into an AB I only bring a single spirit with a short recharge to fulfill the requirement for some spells. There are more effective builds for Rits than spirit spamming when it comes to AB.

Despite what most people say, I play Spirit Spammer a lot in AB. However, although I have offensive spirits, I use them as support rather than a mean of damage output. Usually I help protect cap points with fellow teammates. Spirit Spamming also comes quite handy on bridges such as in Kanaii, Ancestral, or Saltspray. Usually I sit in the mid line spamming my spirits so that the opposing side cannot pass further onto the bridge.
Unless doing the roles I just stated, spirit spamming is way too slow to solo cap or take on other people single handedly. If you want to be speedier, I suggest using channel/restore hybrids.

I completely understand your point.
I don't think it really matters the cooldown of the spirits, running from one area to another takes a bit of time.
Using [skill]Attuned Was Songkai[/skill] also helps with the energy cost. I can just start using my short cooldown spirits and wait for the others to recharge while I'm casting. As I'm casting, my energy cost for spirits won't be extremely bad either.
